A contact lens fitting helps ensure clear vision with lenses that feel comfortable and perform well throughout the day. During your visit, our optometrists evaluate your eyes, review lens options, and provide guidance on proper fit, wear, and care to support healthy vision.
Contact Lens Fittings
What to Expect at Your Contact Lens Fitting
A contact lens fitting is different from a glasses-only exam. Your eye doctor evaluates your vision needs, reviews lens options, and confirms the fit and comfort of the lenses you’ll wear.
If you already wear contact lenses, bring your current contact lens information so we can compare options and discuss any needed changes.
Contact Lens Options at Dr. John L. Meyers & Associates
We fit the following contact lens options:
- Daily disposable contact lenses
- Bifocal and multifocal contact lenses
- MiSight® myopia management lenses
- Limited scleral lens fittings
Comfort, Clarity, and Safe Wear
If your lenses feel uncomfortable, shift, blur, or leave your eyes feeling irritated, it often comes down to lens type, fit, or wear routine. A fitting appointment helps identify the cause and adjust your plan.
If you develop eye pain, sudden redness, or a rapid change in vision, call during office hours. Emergency eye care is available only during office hours.
Limited Scleral Lens Fittings
Some patients need a more customized contact lens fit. We offer scleral lens fittings on a limited basis. If you’ve been told you may need scleral lenses, call the office, and we’ll confirm whether this service is appropriate for your needs.
